Steve Israelite -- I serve because I believe a grass roots community development effort can revitalize an entire community.
Mary McNamara -- I serve for many reasons. First being the Art. I am fascinated with the artistic mind. So expressive and creative. Just like great athletes we need to develop great artists. Providing a venue to these talented people to display and develop their art can also be impactful to our neighborhood.
We are making a difference through art in our neighborhood. Increased home ownership can stabilize neighborhoods and families. It is about lifting everyone up.
Steven Potter -- I have worked in the library environment for over 35 years. Previously, I've been an Executive Director, CFO, HR Director, Operations Director, Regional Manager, and Technology Librarian. I have an MLS and MPA and have served on several non-profit boards in Greater KC. Currently, I'm semi-retired and work part time as a consultant. I am also an amateur ceramic artist (potter).
Englewood is trying something creative. To stabilize and revitalize a community through arts (instead of retail or industry). It is exciting and I'm happy to be able to lend a hand.
Janice Schonwetter -- I serve on the EA Board becaue I am passionate about access to the arts for everyone and the development of new artiistic talent. I also serve as Human Resources contact for the organization, I am retired now but previously worked as an HR executive for major coporrations and also as an external consultant focused on organization strategy, oeganization design, talent development and change management. I consulted with for-protfit and nonprofit organizations across multiple business sectors to diagnose and address organization and personnel performance issues.
Joyce Constance-White -- I am a retired teacher who taught in Raytown C-2 and ISD school districts. I've taught elementary through middle school students and stayed highly involved with professional development on a local and state level. I have also been actively involved with measures which work to benefit our community. After retiring, I accepted the role of ISD Graduation Coach to work with high school students in keeping class credits in line to graduate their Senior year. My educational background provided me opportunities to not just teach but see the artistic and musical talents of many students.
Through the development of this nonprofit program, many resident/intern artists are able to share their artistic talents with the Englewood Arts District and surrounding communities. Summer Art Camp provides educational programs for students. Classes and exhibits further support the vision and mission of Englewood Arts.
What better way to serve in representing Englewood Arts, the artists, programs and community development!
